Support workers in pumping operations to raise vessel and in positioning, flooding, and pumping caisson (gate) in the dock. Directs workers engaged in cleaning and maintenance of vessel. Oversees flooding operations and removal of vessels from drydock. Carry out general/routine/preventive/breakdown maintenance and repairs of Dock gate and all other connected equipments. Maintain log book for routine, preventive, breakdown maintenance of dock gate operating system. Requires 3 year Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering preferably Mechanical. Requires 5 years or above experience in maintenance and repair of dock gate system in a ship repair yard. Must have a skill to replace/repair/adjust major mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic parts. Requires a good understanding of general mechanical drawing, mechanical process and sequence drawing. Requires ability to interpret mechanical/electrical and electronic diagram. Good communication and interpersonal skill in English is a must.
